Jiuxhaigou hotel and airflight

Hi,

I am planning to ONLY visit Jiuzhaigou and HuangLong from Hong Kong. I am looking for air ticket and hotel in Jiuzhai. Where could I find information on both and make a reservation?

By the way, did anyone would like to join and mainly enjoy taking photos?

Jiuzhaigou Jinxiu Hotel, (located at the entrance of the valley, and only has several minutes way to the valley on foot.) and Xinyuan Hotel are the ones below 4 stars. The price is around between RMB200-RMB400. But it is very hard to book during Sep-Oct, which is the peak season for Valley.

and Qianglin Hotel and Jiu'an Hotel (with typical Tibetan Qiang dancing performance, and delicious and unique toast the whole sheep) are the ones below three stars. Hope can give you options.

Hi Ricky,

Below are some information gathered from this website, hope it helps ;

bus from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou directly, taking about 9-10 hours.

*1. In Chengdu (Xintianmen bus station) air-conditioned buses go to Jiuzhaigou at 8:00 am every day, cost about RMB100.

*2. No bus from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou at night. Everday has two buses heading for Jiuzhaigou from Chengdu, one is at 6:30 am (fare: RMB62), and the the other(sleeper) 16:00 pm (fare: RMB85).

Rating hotels and hostels are available both on the way and in the scenic area of Jiuzhaigou. Hostels run by local Tibetans are cheap.

Jiuzhaigou Sheraton International Hotel are the only five star hotel. Jiuzhaigou hostel, Nuorilang hostel, Rize hostel, Jiuzhai villa are moderate.

If you want to stay overnight inside the scenic area, you can try local residences.Some villages at the entrance of the valley have standard room 100 yuan pp and 20yuan pp for four persons in one room. 20 yuan plus for bathroom. The prices are for Chinese. Better choose hotel and hostels unless you are an experienced backpacker.

*1 & *2 = 2 different advise by 2 different person, could someone help to confirm this ??

There is no direct flight from Hong Kong to Jiuzhaigou Valley because Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport is not the main port. So you should transfer from Chengdu.

If you take bus instead, you may consider what MARLBORO said above.

Anyway, choose your content one, and enjoy the magic beauty of Jiuzhai.

does anyone has the hostel contact number ? i do not mind with the local residence option (if the condition is reasonably ok), so long that i have a place to put up for few nights.

in fact you can live in some Tibetan family in Valley, and they are very willing to offer their room, with cheap price. In fact, they are very friendly than what the guide described.
