What is the chepeast way to travel from KUNMING to SHANGHAI? Is it BUS? If so, how much?

Also, how much would the sleeper train cost?

How long would both methods take?

Hi,
maybe the cheapest way is by train ,but it will take you 36hours ,if you by air will take you 237.5$ ,will take your more than 3 hours. if you want to know much about it you can visit the http://www.lonelychina.com/shanghai/shanghai-trains.html ,or instead the train with the flight in it .

I recommend you take train as well. Long distance buses are not so good. Here are two direct trains between Kunming to Shanghai with sleeper prices:

K182 Kunming./ Shanghai 21:51 - 19:26+
hard sleeper: CNY474
soft sleeper: CNY730
K80 Kunming/ Shanghai 15:07 - 09:58+
hard sleeper: CNY457
soft sleeper: CNY799
