Train/bus - which is better for scenary from Kunming-Lijiang

What's the better way from Kunming to Lijiang - Is it bus or train? How much difference is there in prices? Which option is better for scenary?

I think buy bus is better i had get info from www.lonelychina.com/lijiang/lijiang-trains.html the National Freeway extends from Kunming to Lijiang enjoying better condition .

Kunming - Dali section: there are only hard seats for daytime trains, takes about 7 hours. You can enjoy the moutains and villages, etc along the railway. The hard sleepers are available for overnight trains, but it's dark outside.

The buses are available in this section, which takes about 4~5 hours by highway, there are opportunities to take pictures, but the buses won't stop over anywhere for sightseeing.

Dali - Lijiang section, you will have no other choices but to take bus/ car.

The busfare is not much cheaper than flight (No, it is not cheaper:-)).
