 | Hi LC, I didn't bet any money on a team. The reason is that few of my friends love football and what's more I really have little knowledge about football and team. I guess if I have ever bet, I will lose. |

| I'm not crazy about football but how can I miss the biggest event of the year! Hope that the world cup would be held in Beijing soon so that people like us in China & Singapore do not have to wake up in the early hours to catch the match. I like Brazil, Holland & Argentina teams as they play attacking football. I support England because I am more familiar with the players. Therefore, my prediction is: 1st - Brazil 2nd - England 3rd - Holland 4th - Argentina Why don't all of us do our predictions in this forum and we shall see who has the expert footballing eyes at the end of the tourament. I think it would be fun. What say you?? |

| This morning when I saw the thread DIVING by PLCARLO ..... my first thought was .....haha!! this guy is going to talk about Football... Well, I thought he is going to mention about Didier Drogba the Chelsea striker. He will be in Germany playing for his country Ivory Coast. Drogba is a great diver. He dives to get penalties. I hate to see Brazil win the World Cup although I believe they will win it. I will be happy if I can see these players scores. Alessandro del Piero of Italy and Theo Walcott the youngster from Arsenal, England. |

| I too have been waiting with great anticipation for the World Cup to begin. I've got my orange jersey ( go Dutch ) out, the TV is connected, and I am ready for some late nights, what with the 3:00 AM start times on the German night games. I look for Brazil and Holland to be in the final four. Croatia will have a good team, and if England gets past the first round, they could go far. I am a teacher in Xi'An, and our school colors are orange, blue and white. Dutch national team colors. So, all day long my kids will be parading the teams colors. It doesn't get any better than that lol. I just hope that the games for the final 8 teams are free of controversy, and that the best team does win. No matter who it is. |

| oh Pinetree!! sorry, but I hope you don't win your England bet... I know nothing about football, even about my own team... so bad, but here are my predictions... 1 England (of course!! positive thinking) 2 Brazil 3 Italy 4 Ukraine (I must pick an outsider!!)  |

| Yea, from her recent warm-up friendlies, it seems that my money on England getting knocked out after the 1st round, is cold. But still don't fancy she will do well - too much pre-match bragging with really little/over-rated talent. Nonetheless, am still taking the following as finalists :- Brazil & Holland. Good luck. |
