 | Hi! I am a chinese/swedish girl, born and raised in Sweden. I have never visited my home country China before. When I was 11 yrs old, my chinese father passed away and his last wish to be buried in his hometown Hangzhou was fulfilled. I havent got any contact with chinese relatives, since most of the have passed away too. Now I am ready (financially and emotionally) to go to China in the fall. My biggest wish is to find my dads grave, but I do not have any adress or anything else. So, I hope someone can help me with tips about where to start looking, who I could contact in Hangzhou to get further information? Is there any kind of register to find or similar? I really would appreciate if someone could help me get started... |

| I think this is not too difficult. Suggest that you get your dad's name in Chinese. Armed yourself with as much personal details of him as possible together with a pic of him. Start off with the Hangzhou municipal office and work from there. Perhaps some members here can throw more light. I found my dad's village and relatives without much problem. Good luck. |

| Hi. I suggest you try to get some local friends from the internet. You could try Skype or QQ (the latter is a Chinese chat platform like Yahoo etc). Having local help will make it so much easier even if you can speak and read Chinese...and if you can't... you WILL need help! Good luck. |
