My wife is from Taiwan. She has been living in the States for quite a while. She still has her Taiwan passport. We both want to move to Southern China. Can she/we buy a home with property????
Can we open a business, bank account, invest in the stock market, etc?????
We heard that China is open to Taiwanese who want to move to China. Is this true??????
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I can't help you with much information on that, but i can share something positive at least, that is, as far as i know, there are millions of Taiwanese doing business or living in China, especiall in Shanghai, Suzhou, Xiamen and Beijing...
China is not only open but encouraging Taiwanese who want to move to the mainland and invest in the mainland.

Hi DIMSUM,

There are many Taiwanese working and living in mainland. I don't think there will be problems. But it's better to consult professional ones, right? You can contact the Chinese Embassy in United States:
http://us.chineseembassy.org/eng/

I am sure they can help you a lot!

Good luck!
