![]() | I have never felt confortable in hotel rooms. They don't feel clean. The first thing I do when I walk into the room is to lift up the mattress, look under the bed and check all drawers and cupboards. It is a strange habit which I cannot overcome. I am always pleased when I found nothing. Do any of you have this strange habit? |

![]() | To be honest, Dreamcatcher, NO! In fact after many years travelling I rekon it's better not to, you never know what you might find! Maybe you'd feel safer staying at hoem and reading other people's travel reports ! :) :) |

![]() | Indeed sometime it is better not to know than to know ! But each of us has our own habit/peculiarity. The 1st thing I check on entering a hotel room is the bathroom - this fear of finding someone hiding in the bathroom ! Also I love my bathroom to be cosy, dry and with a relaxed decor. |

![]() | You're right Apault. You never know what you will find. I heard this story not too long ago. It was told to me by somebody who knew this couple. This couple booked a room in the casino resort in Malaysia. After a night's sleep, they smell something bad, very bad. They search the source of the smell. And what do they find? A female body stuffed into a hole cut-out of the bottom layer of the divan bed. (I can't say if the story is true. It has never been reported in the papers) In case you all don't know, the chambermaids who changed the bed-sheets never bother to lift up the mattresses. I always do it when I check into the rooms. This is the first thing I do. Check to see if there is anything under the bed. I don't intend to lie on the bed with a body underneath. |
