After some looking around how it would be best to get to Tibet I decided to
contact the AccessTibet Tours in Lhasa.
We are two people travelling. However, we are seriously looking for 3 or 4 more members to join the group.
The access Tibet tour gave us a very nice deal with a wonderful intinary starting from Chengdu and ending in kathmandu. This will be a 12 day tour. Chengdu to Lhasa will be done by the new train.
We will be staying in very simple guest houses and we are not looking for comfort but a experience close to the culture, mentality and nature of tibet.
My friend and I are from Germany (19 and 20 years) and are looking forward to meet travellers that share this attitude.
With every person joining in the cost will be lowered.
If anyone is intrested please let me know so I can give you more information about the tour.
Thanks
Best regards
Silvio

Hi there,

I myself won't be able to make it. My friends might be interested in though.

1. When do you plan to go there? My pals roughly plan to hit there in August during first two weeks of the month.

2. If there were 4-5 of us joining your group, how much would that be for each one of us? (including everything though) We love to know net price.

Look forward to hearing from ya. Thanks.

Cheers,

Almond

Hey Almond,

I will copy and paste the intinary that our guide send us. I think it sounds
great. The whole trip will be 12 days long and cost US$ 998 per person. THis might sound
very expensive but everything is covered already and it seems reasonable for
this tour.

We are comming from Hanoi. So we will travel to Kunming and from there to
Chengdu. I think for you it would be better to come to lhasa and meet us there
after we traveled 40 hours by train. However we can also start of in Hanoi,
Vietnam together. So you would need to fly to hanoi. We are starting in Hanoi on
the 28th of July and try to be in Chengdu on the 5th of August.
The price will probably change if you are meeting us in Lhasa. The total price mentioned above includeds the train ride.

Hi Silvio,

Thanks a lot for additional information you posted.

You guys got a pretty good deal actually for 12 day trip.

Anyhow, taking a look at your plan, I believe my friends will comfortably meet up with you guys in Chengdu. They'll fly from Bangkok, Thailand to Chengdu.

One of my friends coming from the States will be on this trip also. She'll fly from the States to Thailand, and fly off with us from Thailand to Chengdu.

We need to double confirm with her on the day she'll be here. We want to make sure we're able to be in Chengdu by the 5th of August.

Get back to you at web.de|olive2 soon.

Thanks!

Cheers,

Almond
