| Qingzang Railroad, from Xining City, Qinghai Province to Lhasa, Tibet, is the highest railroad in the world! It's best to start from Xining or Golmud, but you can also take a train from Beijing and Shanghai. But I don't think there is a railroad from Lhasa to vietnam... |

| Yes,there were only trains from Beijing\Shanghai\Chengdu and Xining to Lhasa now. If you want to take train to VN,you have to start from Beijing. |

GUESTNICEFREAK | How can I book those train tickets (direction Lhasa Beijing) in advance? Does anyone know any good tour operators in Lhasa? Thanks, Martin |

| Get the Lhasa -- Beijing train tickets as soon as you arrive in Lhasa. I presume you're not travelling during ultra-peak season. |
