PHIL Points: Join Date: Jun 20, 2006 Status: offline	I was lucky enough to tag along with my Chinese friend from the U.S. who was born in Shanghai. He & I travel from Los Angeles to Shanghai every 60 days.He told me about this place called Sanya which we flew into at night. I had wondered why I would make the trip which would only last less than 24 hours because my flight home could not be changed.When I woke up at the New Holiday Inn at Sanya Bay I looked out to the view & could not believe my eyes. It was very similar to Hawaii. The water the palm trees & the weather reminded me of Maui or Kaui. I and 3 friends proceeded to look at Real Estate for sale which was the purpose of that quick trip. When it was said and done we had bought 5 Condos. 2 months later we went back & bought 8 more. Being from one of the most expensive areas in California this was a serious bargain. We look at it as a great escape from Shanghai once the business part is over. The best part is when you travel with a native like I do you learn how to fit in. It's much easier than people think to not get ripped off. Like anywhere, you have to be on your toes & use your head. After that it's all fun. If anyone is interested in our projects in Sanya feel free to contact me. Some are keepers and some will be rentals. Phil
