how much Should i expect to pay for a air ticket?

I was just wondering how much should i expect to pay for a plane ticket from Yichang to Shanghai or Guillin to Chengdu? Is there an airline that somebody feels is above the rest??

Also is it better to buy at the airport or at the hotel or travel agent?? Thank you

All the three are ok to book air tickets. you can also try some online ticket agencies, sometimes their prices are very competitive.
