That's right!
Zapo means woman, we northern people will pronounce it like: Zha po (喳婆).

My first guess was: nagging woman, the girl smiled and said "not exactly", it's women, no matter you nag a lot or you are quiet, you are Zapo. So it sounds like a universal problem, women tend to talk more than they probably should/be prefered. That noun must be created by men, i guess. When couples are young and in love deeply, they like to hear each other and hope their love can talk more. When people get older, men seem to lose the ability to hear the high pitch sounds/ or they choose not to hear the high pitch sounds. Well, women's speaking skills grow stronger and stronger as they grow older and older, their wishes to express themselves grow at the same time. But at this time, the men prefer their women keep their mouth shut.:P
