| Dear all, I'm exploring the possibility of bringing my family (4 adults, 2 kids age 10 and 12)to Kunming in November? (1) How is the climate in Kunming in November? Does it always rain? Is it rainy season in Kunming in Nov? (2) What is the temperature like in November? In the daytime and at night? (3) We are not interested in golf. What are the attractions of Kunming that we can go sight-seeing? Many thanks, SporeGuy |

| Kunming is nicknamed the "city of eternal spring" since it's always so temperate there. It really does feel like springtime year round. Yuantong Temple is one of of the oldest Buddhist temples in Kunming. You can go a little south of the city and visit the Stone Forest (Shi Lin). That's highly suggested. The Western Hills are by Lake Dian and it's nice to take a leisurely stroll there. I like Kunming because there are a lot of nice cafes and eateries where you can sit on the deck in the the middle of January and people watch. It's great |
