Beijing to Dalian Transportation

Hey guys,

What would it cost in chinese currency to travel by Bus or by Train (I'm assuming busses and trains would be cheaper than Flying) from Beijing to Dalian and how long it takes? Are tickets readily available?

Hi Sal,

You are right, it's much cheaper traveling by train/ bus than flying, and travel by overnight train is even better- one night's accommodation cost is saved:-), there are two direct trains running between the two cities:

T225/ T228 Beijing/ Dalian 18:00~06:00+
Hard sleeper: 257rmb
Soft sleeper: 390rmb

T81/ T84 21:21~ 06:58
Hard sleeper: 222rmb
Soft sleeper: 338rmb

You'd better book/ buy the train tickets in advance.

Sorry, i am not sure about bus fares and the schedules, haven't had much experience of traveling long distance by bus, i feel trains are safer. I might be wrong :P
