There are a lot of supermarkets where you can buy the spices and vegetables you are talking about. Changsha has a Metro, a super-store that sells everything from bikes to imported food, they should have what you are looking for. You can find other supermarkets in Changsha along with directions, maps, and descriptions at www.Changshahua.com. You might also want to repost this question in the forum over there. Maybe someone knows of an Indian restaurant! Good luck.

Hi, I am currently in India and would shortly be moving to Suzhou, request for following guidance;)
A) a grocerry shop where we can find an Indian food items.
B) r we allowed to carry basic grocerry items from outside China, say 25 kgs by air or it is restricted
c) how easy it is to get cab, any phone number etc
d) allyhough I have checked net for indian restaurants like ganesh, indian spice, if anyone will know more and share
