Good morning,

I want to get to Beijing under a tourist visa and plan to stay in beijing for a while but I'll surely travel around.

If I have a cell already, can I just get a chip and have them hook me up on the cellular provider? What is the cost and what are the provider that I should deal with?

Thank you.

Hi,Tranlac,

You can buy a SIM card in the airport or in any cellular phones shops, and it usually costs less than 100yuan,if you don't care the numbers with 4 or 7 in it.

Welcome:-)

I'd rather pay a premium to get something without the 4 and 7. I was as many 8 as possible. I wonder if those are still available...

Will any sim card you get in the airport enable you to call the US relatively inexpensively?
