Shanghai to Biejing Travel?

Hi all,

I am travelling to Shanghai in late August for 5 days. I really wanted to go and see Beijing as well in my very limited time so could someone give me so advice on the best way of travelling?

Fly
Train
Ferry

Would also be good to know how long the journey takes roughly?

How long do you plan to stay in Beijing? What is schedule in Shanghai? If you can tell us, I'm sure we can offer some more specific suggestions.

Many trains are run from Beijing to Shanghai,usually start at night,and arrive in the morning!

take train to save money. More of train from SH to BJ is from night to next morning, around 13 hrs, 320 RMB per sleep bed.
