While more expensive than the tours to the Great Wall with side-trips and lunch, the journey no longer must consume your entire day and will be more comfortable than a bus. Perhaps you could add a side trip to a high quality jade outlet, silk factory, monument or other desirable location for those who want the tour without the entire bus tour experience. :)
