Happy birthday and welcome to Hainan!

From Haikou to Sanya, you could take a public bus, every 15minutes/bus in Haikou South Bus Station, RMB79/person.

If you want to visit Hainan, you can't miss Sanya, the unique tropical city in our China. There is the most beautiful sea and cleanest beaches. I'm sure you will love it. : )

For Haikou, I'd like to recommend Mingyang Hotel or Seaview International Hotel.

For Sanya, Cactus Resort, Sheraton, Marriott, etc. So many nice hotels in Sanya, where to stay should depends on your budget.

As for where to go in Sanya, I think Yalong Bay and Wuzhizhou Island can't miss.

JoJo

haha, we are the same, I'm also budget traveller. Here I give some advice to you again. :)

Haikou: Mingyang Hotel is ok, about RMB150/day, which is located in Haikou downtown. Traffic is very convenient.

Sanya: The Sounds of Nature Guest House, about RMB120/day, which is located in Dadonghai, near to Sanya downtown, also very convenient.

Try www.chinasanya.com, I think you will find what you want.
