Changsha to Zhangjiejia

GUEST12655 We are planning to take a bus from Changsha to Zhangjiajie in June.
1. What bus should we take, and from which bus station? How much does it cost? (the one with soft seat and Air Con)
2. What time is the last bus leaving for Zhangjiajie?
3. Could we buy the bus ticket online?

You can go to Changsha East Bus Station (长沙汽车东站) or West Bus Station （长沙汽车西站） to take bus to Zhangjiajie.

East Bus Station: The bus departs every 1 hour from 8:00 to 18:00.
Ticket price: around CNY 100.
Duration: around 4 hours.

West Bus Station: it leaves every 1 hour from 8:00 to 19:00.
Ticket fare: CNY 104-112.
Duration: around 4 hours.

PS: I read that the buses in East Bus Station are much newer and better. You may go there to take the bus. And I am afraid that you can not buy the ticket online. Actually you needn’t worry about it since there are many buses that run from Changsha to Zhangjiajie per day.

How was the road? Is it very narrow, curve and bumpy or it is a smooth ride.
I am decideing to take a short flight or take a car ride from changsa to Zhangjiajie

GUEST5799 Don't worry. The buses from Changsha East Bus Station or West Bus Station to Zhangjiajie run the highway. It takes around 3.5 to 4 hours. The road is not as worse as you thought.
