Xian City Wall Collapsed???

So terrible that part of the City Wall suddenly Collasped yesterday due to the unceasing rainfalls last week. Does Anyone know the accident? I just got the info from the News Release of TravelChinaGuide web. Here is the link:

Such a shame the resoration of the wall was looking great and it would be wonderful to have the whole wall intact so that you can do the circuit- hope the repairs go well!!

It was just a minor breakdown in a small section, no need to worry. It will be repaired soon.

Actually that is due to the natrual disaster, but,anyway,it is what we do not hope to see.

May the City Wall restored soon...

From South Gate to Wenchang Gate......

I climbed it from Wenchang gate in 2004,so sad!!!

We cycled the wall yesterday. Then read about the collapse in China Daily!

The wall is still intact and it is still possible to cycle all the way around. Very little damage.

Great fun to cycle, but hot, hot, hot!!!

Kamla,you just cycled around the city wall? When I passed through the South Gate,I can see the builders there busy repairing the collapsed part.

Exactly, the weather in Xian now is so hooooooot in summer, but also seems more changeful sometimes. I think Xian only has two seasons: summer and winter,right?? LOL...

The same to Beijing,only two seasons:summer and winter.

But this summer was really strange,nearly rainy everyday.Can you image that it rained 27 days in July:-)

I like it,so coooooooolllllllll!!!!
