 | Hello everyone Idea: I want to do the classical Jinshanling/Simatai walk. Would like to stay one night. I have found lots of info about the hike, the night at the watchtower at Jinshanling and the hostel at Simatai (Miyun) I have found lots of info about taxis taking you to one end and waiting at the other end before returning to Beijing... Problem: I cannot find any info about transportation when you want to stay overnight!!! Can you take a taxi oneway (do you have to pay the driver his return trip/how much?) Can you get a taxi back from Jinshanling or Simatai the next day? I cannot find this information anywhere! Thank you for your help. |

| Easy, just pay double. Maybe 300 RMB for send you, and other 300 RMB for pick u up. Or you can take bus to back in next day, just pay around 20 RMB to Dongzhimen. |

| Hi If you end your journey at Simitai there are plenty of rides that you can get - taxi can take you for the 15 min ride to the main road for about 20 rmb and then you can catch the bus back to Beijing, the taxi drivers know the bus times- it's a great ride and about 60 rmb per person. Simitai is easier for transport back to Beijing- other way round it is much harder- have a good trip!! |
