How many hours will the trip take? Thanks

I just got to Chengdu by the hard sleeper 3 days ago. I was originally told that it would take 24 hours to get to Chengdu from Beijing, but it ended up taking about 43-44 hours. So, be prepared for it to take a long time, though the trip is not that bad I suggest you bring food with you because even the Chinese people didn't like the food on the train. The surroundings are beautiful but there's no A/C so make sure to get the one of the left bunks in your sleeping area so when you open the window air will hit your side.
