what to do in one day?

I will be staying at a friend's place in Shanghai.
Should i do a day trip with a travel agency to Suzhou and Zhou zhuang

or

take a train or bus to suzhou,explore the city and gardens, stay one night at suzhou and go to zhou zhuang the next day. (if i take this option, would there be coaches from Zhouzhuang to Shanghai)?

also, are there antiques markets in Suzhou?
