![]() | I'm planning my first trip to China. I'm thinking of traveling from Xi'an to Beijing via bus and rail, stopping to see sights along the way. Is a week too long or too short for this trip? Any suggestions along the way? I'm hoping to see Hua Shan, the Longmen Caves, Kaifeng, Pingyao and the Yungang Caves. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jackson |

![]() | Hi Jackson, Your international flight (transpacific or not) will probably get to Beijing first. I recommend the following itinerary: Beijing (at least 3n)-> Luoyang(1n) -> Kaifeng(1n) -> Taiyuan(1n) -> Pingyao(1n) -> Datong(1n) -> Xian(at least 2n) or backwards I think one week is too short for this trip. |

![]() | Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like I need to trim down my itenerary or find some more time. I might have to skip Mt. Hua and either Kaifeng or Pingyao. But I guess that just leaves more reason to come back. Thanks again. -Brandon |
