| I will be coming to GZ in October 2006. Does anyone know where I can find information on ferries from Hong Kong to GZ? I have found references on the net to both Turbojet and hovercraft... but I need a site that gives schedules and (hopefully) allows be to book online. Ideally, I need a ferry that docks close to the White Swan... I will be staying on Shamain Island. |

| Hi Rita, That was really helpful - thank you. I now know that I can get a ferry from ShenZhen (Foo Yong) to "East River Guangzhou Ferry Terminal" But no matter how hard I search, I cannot find the location of the East River Guangzhou Ferry Terminal. Is it near Shamain Island? If it is within a 20 - 30 minute taxi ride, that would be OK. Again, thank you for your help. Clive |

| U can find detail about the ferry schedule from HK to GZ from following site: http://community.travelchinaguide.com/d_forum2.asp?pp=1&i=31632 U can choose the port Guangzhou. CKSA does not offer online booking service, U can contact them from following detail. http://www.cksa.com.hk/ The closest port to Guangzhou is Huangpu which is very far from city center, which I guess it takes at least over an hr. to travel from Huangpu to Shamian. So, it seems there is no Turbojet to travel between HK and Guangzhou. in fact, the most efficient way to go to GZ from HK is by Through Train, U can find the schedule from following linkage: http://www.it3.kcrc.com/ As U can see, it only takes 1 and half hr. to go to GZ from HK. There is always ticket available during normal days. Yet, it is necessary to book ticket in advance during weekend or during Canton Trade Fair period. U can book ticket online from this linkage. http://www.it3.kcrc.com/ Any problem, you can contact me at find2fine.com|Marketing, any question about Guangzhou traveling is glad to discuss. |
