Saw two news articles in our local papers about China.
1.) The Abbot of Shaolin Temple in Central Dengfeng received a US$125,000.00 car at a tourism promotion conference in the city.

2.) In Donghai County, Jiansu Provice, local people esp. the wealthy families often employ striptease troupe to attract crowds to funerals.

Are the above true? What a life! Pays to be a Shaolin monk and a great way to be sent off at the end.

Time has caught up with religions.
In my country some monks drive around in Mercedes Benz. When asked why they need such a luxurious car, one monk replied "This is common. Everyone drives Mercedes" !!
