| I want to live 6 months in Chian and 6 months in USA. HOW CAN I DO THIS ? What about visa and entries? |

| You did not tell us your citizenship. ...as for the US, sneak across the border in Mexico, if you get caught the penalties will be less invasive than the Visa paperwork ;) From my reading, the first concern in granting a Visa is in proving strong ties to your home country. That is described as family ties, property ownership, good and stable job record, and so forth. Stating the obvious: It is MUCH more difficult to come to the US legally now than before 9/11. |

| All you need do is visit your local Chinese Consular office and get a 180 day tourist visa. On the assumption that this process is much the same as in Canada, your application will be processed in 4 days. They will require your passport. Then, book your flight. In the event that 6 months is not enough, you can extend this visa for an additional 30 days at a cost of 160 RMB, or maybe 16 US$. |
