 | Its been said : The good die young and the bad lives forever ... Heroes never live to tell the tale. They die while trying to save somebody or something. It happen in real life and even in the movies. Yet, every now and then we come across such magnificent people in real situations. The tsunamis, the earthquakes, the volcanoes, the typhoons... the list goes on.. Their names are mentioned for a while but soon they are forgotten. My admiration to these people. I'm sure there are people with such experiences amongst us. Care to relate your story? |

| Heroism is not just what makes the newspapers. All of us are potential heroes. We may only be heroes for a few brief moments, but if those moments make a critical difference that is all that matters.... Heroism is only meeting your highest expectation of yourself and going a step beyond because you know it is necessary. It is the purest definition of courage. IMO, touching it once does not make a person a hero. When your life history shows you take the extra step every time it is necessary, you are truly a hero. |

| One doesn't need to be a hero to be good. A person who is kind, helpful, doesn't commit crimes, doesn't harm others, etc,etc,etc in his everyday life is a good person to me. No need for heroics. But yes, we are brought up to have a good conscience. Having a conscience on certain established principles means that a person will have guilt if he infringes on such principles. It is normal for one to make mistakes. And every time one makes a mistake and feels guilty about it, over time he will age and get sick and dies early ! So if anyone doesn't want to die early, don't have a conscience. There are many living examples in the world. True ? Hahahaha !! On the other hand, Someone promises a Heaven, if u keep doing good - but after u've died young !! And if Heaven is good, then we should all die young. Why not ? So it comes back to square one - please continue doing good. |
