Hi Everyone
We hope to visit the Memorial hall on a Monday 18th September. However I am getting conflicting advice as to the opening hours. Can anybody tell me what the opening hours are, whether we should get there early to avoid the long wait and how long the wait is likely to be.
Many Thanks
Clive

The best thing is to go there and find out yourself, buddy.
But just remember, there are lot & lot of visitors to BJ nowadays - esp during the peak cool season. So I suggest go there early - maybe at 5 am in the morning - u should get ahead of the queue.

The mausoleum doesn't open on Monday.
On other days it's open from 8.30am until 11.30am – although on Tuesdays and Thursdays, it reopens for two hours at 2.00 in the afternoon.

There's a huge queue, but because people are shuttled through so quickly, the wait time is minimal. There's no need to get there early.

You can't take in any bags or cameras - there's a drop off point across the road on the east side of the square, and the cost is on average RMB10 to store a big bag with a camera in it. Otherwise you can leave it with a friend waiting outside.
