| Why is it that typhoons, hurricanes and tornadoes are often named after women? Are violent and destructive behaviors often associated with women. Or perhaps, scientists feel that nicer women's names will take away some miseries that are caused by these natural disasters. Or is it to prove that .... Hell hath no fury like the fury of a woman scorned. |

| hi, i think women names sound gentle and easy to get along with, so scientists named the hurricane women's name in the hope that it would not bring too must destruction and disaster to human beings. california quoted the old saying women are scorpian and snake hearted. i believe that it is more unacceptable for a woman to do a bad thing than for a man, because women in china are always presented as great mothers. any other opinions? |
