Human feelings are frail. They can never forgive and forget. Even if we can forgive, we can never forget.

We can choose not to remember but we can never erase it from our memory.

So, in reality can we really forgive and forget. Can we?

Over a period of time, most of us should be able to forgive. But I agree that few of us would be able to forget completely from our memory.

i think it depends on the seriousness of the matter as well. Time can help heal the wound, I think. That's why some people after committing something bad leave it to time to heal.
There is still another group that has a bad memory. This group will forget what they have done before and repeat the same thing over and over again.
How nice to have a bad memory. Hahaha !!
Feeling guilty is 1 of the differences between man & animals(hahaha, Verb - I dunno know for sure - just guessing here!). If one chooses to forget or to ignore a bad deed done, so as to lighten his own guilty, he is not so much different from an animal.

Pinetree...my dog Sammi knows when she does something wrong that she has done before and been punished for it.

She puts her head and tail down and gives me the "Oh, I'm sorry act." ;)

We forgive and when we are old and senile we forget, therefore we can forgive and forget.

To forgive is a state of mind. We use words like "coming to
terms with", "closure" and so on...I think when we learn how one
can forgive then forget is never an issue.

As time goes by , it is easy to forget the sorrow and unpleasant things , but as for as forgiving concerned , it is harder than forget I think

I share the same sentiment. It is not easy to forgive - esp if it is something serious.
