WILLYT Points: Join Date: Sep 12, 2006 Status: offline	Getting transfered to Tlainjin, on a 2yrs cotract. Will be there in Tianjin by first week of Oct 2006. Can anoyone tell me how much its gona cost, for a Cook/Housekeeper? a month to prepare food for a single person, who will be just working around 12hrs a day/7days a week, and get home to just eat and sleep. Thanks in addvance. WT

PINETREE Points: 2514 Join Date: Oct 9, 2005 Status: Offline	Why not try on term, service apartment which provides house-chores service ? It can work out to be cheaper. If u are alone, it is not economical to employ someone just to do the house-chores + cook. Eat out and cook yourself occasionally. Employing someone will mean you lose your privacy as well.

Different districts in Tianjin have diffent charges and even in the same district, different places and different houses may charge differently. If you live in Teda, the charge may be higer than anywhere else in Tianjin. A normal size house with 2 rooms and a living room may charge 2000-4000 RMB in Teda. But in the downtown maybe 1000-2000 can work.

Thanks a lot, Pinetree, and LXTX. for the reply.
I am getting a fully furnished appartment (I do not know for sure where its going to be), a cab (24hrs standby), and 2 meels by my workplace. Thats the contract. Just the dinner is on me, for which, they would pay a amount as an allowance. I guess, I would follow Pinetrees advice.

BY the way my flight is on 7th October, and start working by 9th
