Hi I am travelling to Guangzhou for the Canton Fair and am looking at entering China via Macau. Does anyone know if the borderpost at Macau will provide visa on arrival service, as the East Guangzhou Railway Station and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport provide (I have used these in previous years). If they do it will save me a side trip to Hong Kong. thanks greg

yes i am positive about it: when you are out of macau and get to the chinese side, right before the checkpoints, look on your left hand side, there is a small office which is a bureau of CTS, they can give you a visa within 30 mins and it is a reasonable price. good luck.

Are you going to mainland China, or only Hong Kong? I suspect you don't get visa-on-arrival for either!

Indonesians do not receive any visa-on-arrival for mainland China -- this includes Guangzhou. Sri Lankans do not receive any visa-on-arrival for Macau.

For those travelling via Malaysia, there is a Chinese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur which can issue a China visa within 4 working days.
