Hello all,

I own a small motorcycle shop in Idaho USA and I am thinking of traveling to Chongqing China to visit some motorcycle manufactures. I can get the best airline rates into Shanghai but then I need to get to Chongqing.

Is there a train or shuttle service that provides this?

Thanks
Bjami

K71 and K74 operate on this way. But it takes about 41 hours to get Chongqing from Shanghai. You will have to spend two nights on the train. It departs daily at 17:27 and arrives in Chongqing at 10:23++. Train fare for the soft berth is USD91.00 net per person.

It is so hard to go by train, so i suggest you'd beter take flight. The airfare is USD160.00 net per person.

Forget about the train.
I took the plane between Shanghai and Chongqing between X-Mas and after New Year (Western) for four (4!!!) times and each one was about 800RMB (with a little bit discount) or 70 Euro, which is round about 91 USD. So it is as expensive as taking the train but it takes only 2 hours!
Of course you won? get any discount when travelling on major Chinese holidays.
