| Can anyone tell me if the Forbidden City is still under renovation. If any, which part of it. Thanks. |

| Yes, some of the Forbidden City is being restored. I think two of the large buildings are almost completely covered while they work on them. It's contained to those buildings, and really does not affect the majority of the tour. I just visited the Forbidden City last weekend, it was my first time, and it was great. The restoration did not hurt my tour at all. Keep in mind the Forbidden City closes at 4:30pm I believe, so plan accordingly. |

| Hi Due to the size of the place you will always find work going on in part of it. It must be a never ending job. Whatever small bit is being restored / maintained it would never be enough to ruin a visit Don |

| In general, is there a lot of renovations going on in preparation for the 2008 Olympics? Or it hasn't started yet? |

| Hi, I was just at the Forbidden city and GuGong last week. It is still under restoration but visiting it is still worthwhile. comfortbj.com |
