Are you sure you would like to visit Lanzhou in winter. I think it should be very cold at that time. I have been to Lanzhou two years ago, seems there is nothing there. Hope you will have a nice trip there.

Hey California, hmm, i was planning to avoid this thread, because it is not good to say there is not much to see in your favorite city(in winter), haha~~ But you made me change my plan. Joking~~

Hi GANGYABENBEN,

Belle was right, indeed there is not much to see in Lanzhou in winter, but there are interesting places around Lanzhou, like Binglingsi(the grottoes) and Xiahe(to see the Tibetan Monastery and people).

I think it's not possible to visit the Binglingsi grottoes in winter, due to transport problems.
