Do a search from this site using icon top of page and follow promts for train. No information on the bus but there are plenty running between every city small or large in China

ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	There's no direct train from Yichang to Guilin, my recommendation would be to go for Yichang to Liuzhou (the next nearest station to Guilin) instead. Yichang -- Liuzhou: train 1473 (1302--0634) 17h53min I can't find any info for buses from Yichang to Guilin (or to anywhere else in Guangxi province, for that matter), so I guess you might have to go to Wuhan if you want to take a bus.

I know this post is really old, but just in case anyone else is looking on google!

There is a bus from Yichang to nanning (1908 i think or +1908) that stops on the outskirts of guilin where it costs about 30rmb to get a taxi into the centre the bus is a big sleeper bus and only costs 220rmb so is probably a bit cheaper than going to wushan then guilin.

It does drive through the country side which can be a bit bumpy and doesn't go very often (we arrived in yichang at 4pm on sunday the next bus wasn't til 2pm tuesday) and the lack of accomodation in yichang meant we had to stay at a hotel costing about 140rmb for 2 people 1 night.
