As I understand it, you will never be able to access Wikpedia inside China - it is a totally blocked site. I never managed to access it at all and Chinese friends confirmed it is not possible.

It was unblocked for a while but now it seems like its blocked again. There was even a page on there about it being blocked.

Wikipedia seems to be accessible in China again, but I don't know how long this has been the case.
