| Hi Gosef, I think that you might get at most 3 months tour visa instead of business visa in UK.Do you know Chongqing the No,4 municipality of China. There are lots of opportunities to do business here such as coffee shop, restaurant and clothes factory ect,as there are 31.5 million populatios in Chongqing. Yes,you can do business by your name and find the place by yourself. Please reach yahoo.com.cn|jimmy_yj88 Cheers! |

| It is best that you visit China and then work on this. As Yinme says, you can try for a 3 month tourist visa ...or renew a shorter one it in China rather than getting a business visa initiallly. Then you can look for opportunities and start beginning to understand the way things work in China. Be prepared for it to take some time One important thing is that the visa rules are made centraally but implemented locally so that there is a lot of variation. It is very helpful if you can build a relationship with someone in the PSB (Public Secrity Bureau) where you plan to operate. (this enabled me to get a business vissa to teach) The usual wisdom is that you also need a Chinese partner...but choose carefully. I would try to make friends with someone in China first: even if that person is not a suitable partner they can be a great help. |

| In your other thread u asked about visa agents. There are at least two in Shanghai. Here is one link: http://www.visainchina.com/ There is quite a bit of info in there, but remember you must be in Shanghai for them to apply for you. |
