xi'an to jiuzhaigou

is there a way to go to JiuZhaigou from Xi'an without getting to Chengdu first?I am planning to go there on November 14th..any advice more dthan welcome!thx

There are daily flight between Xi'an and Jiuzhaigou Valley departs in the morning, and will take you one hour to arrive. While this is the schedule valid till Oct 31, 2004. So you'd better consult the air tickets booking service for sure.

There should have the direct flight between Xi'an and Jiuzhaigou Valley, daily. But you'd better contact the ticket enquiry on（029）96780, 88795555, 88702299.

As far as I know, there are no direct flights between Xi'an and Jiuzhaigou valley in the winter flight schedule which works from Nov.01,2004 to March 31,2005. So maybe transfer from Chengdu is the only way.

Hello,
You seem to be knowledgable about travel networks to and from Chengdu. Do you know what would be the best way to get from Urumqi to Chengdu? Should I take a train, bus? I'm leavign mid January and travelling with 5 friends. I reckon it'll take 3 days on the train, it took 2 days from Beijing to Urumqi. Do you know roughyl how much ti'll cost aswell? Thanks

Choose train coz more comfortable.
Beijing to Urumqi Train No. T69 Out:19.24 everyday. In:15.19 total time: a day and 19 hours ,55 minutes.Price for sleeper:631(mid berth).
And From Urumqi to Chengdu, Take flight please. It's will cost you 2 days on train. There are flight between two cities everyday.Normally you can get distount.

GUEST96210 Is there a way to go fron Jiuzhaigou to Xi'an without going back to Chengdu? Train? Also, a question about Emeishan; how long to stay? Reservations at the monestaries? Best route to and from Chengdu +/- Leshan? Thanks

1) Yes, direct flight.
2) No direct train as Jiuzhaigou doesn't have a train station. You could take a bus to the nearest train station at Guangyuan and then take a train onwards from there.
3) Probably overnighter ie 2 days.

Yes you can take the train to Guangyuan and travel by bus to Jiuzhaigou.
refer this map of Sichuan. You can take the bus or train to Emei but once in Chengdu the bus is better. Make a quick stop in Leshan since it is on the way.
