I think foreigners know foreign restaurants better than the locals.

Hey no need to be a FQ. Anyone who has an answer is welcome. But sometimes travellers do know more about a city than its citizen. They research. And I need information more than the tour-guide book.

So Ali Baba is the only Indian restuarant in the downtown? It's a good one. I've been there. Love the India MTVs!

There might be more choices, but those two were the only ones I could find.

There is also a cheap Indian restuarant near Tianjin Medical University, and the other Alibaba's across from Bengon's on Tongan Dao also does some Indian food, although it's not terribly authentic. I've also heard rumors of a new, (probably expensive), Indian place opening up in the Shanggu Business Complex across from the TV tower on Tianta Lu.
