I used to travel to Guangzhou 10 years ago, and was often going to an area by the water (Pearl river), which was basically a long bank, full of restaurants, most having seafood (live), snakes and such. I forgot the name of the area. I remember that I had to take a taxi from the center (shamian), drive past the university, the ride was about 45 mn... Dos anyone have aclue about the name of this area ? Or suggest a similar type of area ? Thanks Samarcande

There are a lot of good seafood restaurants in Guangzhou as Eating in guangzhou is not just a joke here . The place you are talking about is probably Yanjiang Road. The restaurant I would like to recommend is South Sea Fishing Village Restaurant . This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in town , famouse for high quality seafood and very relaxing eating environment . Actually it is just located in Liuhua Park and about 2-3 mintues walk from China Hotel . I have brought a lot of my foreign clients there and everyone think it is a good restaurant deserve visting .It will be appreciated that you will also bring me there to try one more time ...just joking .
