suitable cold weather clothing

We are planning to travel to Harbin in February as a family group of 5 and are concerned about footwear in particular as there is nothing worse than freezing feet. Are regular winter boots enough or do you feel we need to purchase expensive snow boots for the trip. Any other accommodation info would be great. Hopefully cheap as we must pay for a family.

U can buy some thick shoes in harbin. Some shoes with good quality are not very expensive when in discount.
