![]() | Hello there! I've got some difficulty here, and I was wondering if some of you could help me out. I am interested in going to China to study next year - don't worry, the stated inscription deadline is nowhere near - and I've got a little issue with most of the application forums. Almost all the institutions in question ask me for a "Guarantor in China". Now I've run around asking everyone I can think of - parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and one of my friend's Chinese mother - and nobody can provide a clear answer as to who I should ask to be my "guarantor"; or, indeed, what a guarantor even is. So perhaps you could help. What sort of entity should I be looking for in the way of a guarantor - any names in particular? And does "in China" mean that the guarantor is in China, or that this entity with be my guarantor while I am in China? And finally, do you have any suggestions as to which institutions, university or other, I could add to my list of choices? I'm looking for the most part to learn Chinese, socialise with my Chinese peers, see sights and culture, and to learn as much as I can about China otherwise (for example, one interesting thing I've seen is language courses that offer History, Art, Calligraphy, Martial Arts, etc. alongside the language classes). Thank you for any help you can provide! |
