1312 kilometers by train. The fastest way is to go from Shanghai to Qingdao by plane. It just takes about 1 hour and 20 mintes.

It takes about 6 hours and 25 minutes by G trains and the train ticket price is almost the same as the air ticket.

So I suggest you take the plane.
