| Hi everyone, im a budget travller, in Beijing and I'm interested in travelling to Vietnam, with some stopovers. I dont mind taking sleeper buses and sleeping in hostels, is it possible to do this trip, within, maybe 10-14 days, with a few stoper overs like in Xian, chongqing, Nanning, then to Hanoi, wuhan, back to beijing. Spending a day in each city and then taking a sleeper bus to the next. My budget is around $300-$400 US dollars. If anyone has tried a similar journey on a similar budget, loved to hear from ya! thanks |

| Hi Mongol, In Aug 2006,i just went to Vietnam for a while, the itinerary as this Mengzi-Hekou(Yunnan)-Laocai(Vietnam)-Sapa-Laocai-Hanoi-Laocai-Hekou-Mengzi. You could take the bus from Kunming to Hekou directly, then crossing the border to Laocai Vietnam,Of course you must go to Sapa from Laocai by bus, since Sapa is one of most beautiful place of Vietnam;afterwards you could take overnight train from Laocai to Hanoi. It was very interesting,i think i would go to Vietnam again in the future, but i will go to southern part of Vietnam next time. Cheers! |
