I think shuttle bus is more convenient if you do not have too many pieces of luggage. It's too expensive to take a taxi. The airport shuttle bus line 5 arrives at Shanghai Railway Station. It departs every 20 to 30 minutes from 05:10 to 21:30 at Shanghai Railway Station. It just costs CNY 22 per person.

Ali, you actually can use the subway to reach the airport. You can walk to the Shnaghai Indoor Stadium subway station to take subway line 4 and get off at Century Avenue (Shiji Dadao) Station. Then change subway line 2 and get off at Guanglan Road Station and take extension line of subway line 2 to Pudong Airport. It takes around 2 hours.

It takes about one hour. If it's in travel peak time, you are advised to take metro line 2 to the airport.
