![]() | Nanking, a newsreel about Nanjing Massacre arouse great attentions at Sundance Film Festival since January. The film produced by the vice president of AOL and adapted the fifth chapter of Iris Chang's book, Nanjing Massacre. Interviewed almost 80 survivals of the brutal massacre and many of Japanese former soldiers, the film contains great deals of audio and video records. |

![]() | 2007 is the 70th anniversary of Nanjing Massacre and tens of films, Tv series are going to be shown. But some despicable Japanese want to make a film to deny the history covetously!! They criticized the films about Nanjing Massacre are working for China. How ridiculous! The truth of history will never be covered up. |

![]() | Hello May, I agree that Japanese have always tried to deny the Nanjing massacre. The new Prime Minister seems more ready to address this issue that the previous Prime Minister, so perhaps there will be some acceptance forthcoming in the future. The importance of the Museum and the book and films cannot be overestimated "Lest we forget" and allow the same horrors to happen again. Iris Chang's book was a life changing read for me. My perceptions were changed forever. |

![]() | Hello May, No I havent been to the Nanjing Museum yet, but it is at the top of my list when I am next in China...which I hope will be sometime in March. Like I said in my previous comment Iris Chang's book really had a very powerful effect on me and I can recommend that all visitors to China should read it. It will definitely help to understand the Chinese people better. |
