If you were making a list of must do things in Beijing for a friend, what would be your Top-10 suggestions?

Things like:

*** Eat Peking Duck
*** Eat at (your favorite restaurant or two)
*** Walk through the Hutong
*** See the acrobats show
*** Explore the Tea district
*** Dance or do Tai Chi with a group in a park

What would you recommend?

...maybe go to the zoo???

the next time i go to Beijing, I'd like to visit the studio district -- is it called 21? The first time I went to Beijing, I really enjoyed Beihai Park. There were a lot of people riding sleds and skating on the ice... it was so quaint and charming... like a scene from a turn-of-the-century painting.

What's the name of that game I saw played in the parks....

Players have what appear to be cupped, over-sized, ping pong paddles....in which they capture a ball in flight (as opposed to catching it) and return it to another player without losing momentum. It is a very graceful game of catch and the ball never stops moving.

I'm part of a group tour going to Beijng next week and part of our itinerary is a kung-fu show or an acrobat show. Any suggestions on those two. Thanks

I think the shows are just ways in which the tour agency make money. The ticket price will be high! But on the other hand, the performance will be wonderful and it's worth the money. Between the two, I would suggust Kung-fu show cos kung-fu belongs to China~~~
